African Forum on Digital Education and Governance (AFDEG)

AFDEG is a continental platform dedicated to advancing digital transformation, strengthening governance systems, and promoting inclusive economic development across Africa. The 2026 edition brings together government leaders, policy experts, academics, private-sector innovators, and development partners to discuss digital education, cybersecurity, data governance, AI adoption, smart public services, and sustainable digital economies. The forum provides strategic dialogue, capacity-building sessions, technical workshops, and collaborative opportunities aimed at accelerating Africa’s digital future.

AFDEG is a pan-African initiative that brings together policymakers, academics, industry leaders, innovators, and development partners to shape the future of digital education, governance, and digital transformation across Africa. It serves as a year-round platform for research, policy dialogue, innovation, and capacity-building.

AFDEG 2026 will be held from 29 June to 4 July 2026 in Accra, Ghana, featuring plenary sessions, thematic tracks, innovation showcases, a Jubilee House visit, and cultural tours in Accra and Cape Coast.
